Grub hub is no longer a good site to use for food delivery services. The past three times have been horrible. Customer service has gone downhill. All food has been delayed by 10-20 minutes from original estimate which is usually about a hour to hour and 10 minutes .
Most of the time food will take a hour and a half delivery time .
Yesterday, the customer representative by the name of Noreen wouldn't let us speak to anyone else. She said there was no one else working. She said our only option was to cancel the order or hold tight because she couldn't call the restaurant . Claimed that the restaurant was closed. 2 minutes upon hanging up, delivery driver arrived and was shocked by the fact that grubhub said they were closed. He informed us that the restaurant was still delivering.We told him we cancelled the order but he said because of the wait he would just leave the food and apologized for the inconvenience. 5 minutes later grubhub calls and leaves a message that they will not honor the refund because we had accepted the food but was another representative who had left the message. We did not want to cancel the order in the first place unless the food was going to come soon. She kept insisting that that was the only option and she could not check on the restaurant nor could she let us speak to a supervisor. She repeated herself over and over again. "Would you like to cancel the order?" We kept saying" we would like to speak to another representative or your supervisor."
Grubhub gives a bad name to restaurants with their customer service
Also, after doing some research we were informed that 30 percent of sales were taken from the restaurants for providing a name on their site and 24-7 customer service, which is ridiculous considering the way they treat their clientele.
